How To Play Guitar Acoustic From Basic

 What is Guitar?

The guitar is a stringed musical instrument that is played by plucking, generally using fingers or a plectrum.

Guitar History

The word guitar, was originally taken from the name of an ancient stringed instrument in Persia around 1500 BC known as the citar or sehtar. This musical instrument later developed into various types of ancient guitar models known as the general term tanbur. In 300 BC Persian tanbur was developed by the Greeks and six centuries later by the Romans (Bellow, 1970:54-55). In 476M this instrument was brought by the Romans to Spain and transformed into: (1) guitarra Morisca which functions as a melody carrier, and (2) Guitarra Latina to play chords. Three centuries later the Arabs brought a kind of stringed guitar called al ud to Spain (Summerfield, 1982:12). Based on the Arabic al ud construction and the two guitar models from Rome, the Spanish then made their own musical instrument called the vihuela. As a result, the vihuela became popular in Spain while the musical instruments of its predecessors were gradually abandoned. However, al ud brought people to Western European countries and rivaled the popularity of vihuela in Spain. In Europe al ud was well received and developed into various European lute models until about the end of the 17th century. Meanwhile, the vihuela continued to develop into various types of guitars over the centuries until it eventually became the classical guitar used today.

 Now is the tutorial

How to Play Chords on Guitar

1) The first think you need to know is string on guitar

Guitars generally have 6 strings. the bottom string is known as the 1st string (E'), the top is the 2nd string (B), the top is the 3rd string (G), the top is the 4th string (D), the top is the 5th string (A), the top is the 6th string (E)

2) Guitar Fret

Fret is the iron across the fingerboard/fretboard. The frets are made of metal. On an acoustic guitar, there are 19 guitar frets.

 Play Chords on Guitar

1) Memorize the tone on string 5 and 6 (from fret 0-12)

 Scale order:

C-C#-D-D#-E-F-F#-G-G#-A-A#/Bes-B-C-C#

 2) Chord

Start with chord on 5th string

Actually the A chord has to press the 0 fret, strings 1, but because it is already being held by the support at the 0 fret, we only need to press the 234 fret on the 234th string.

so for the next chord like B, C, C#, D and so on, we only need to press the bass chord on the 5th string.

For example Chord B

if you want to use a minor note, you only need to follow the standard A minor note, then follow the bass tone on the chord you want to play.

 Chord Bm

Chord on 6th string

Likewise if you want to use a chord with a lower note, you only need to use the basic form of the E note. The same as before actually the E chord, has a section on the 0 string fret 621/ on the Em fret 0 string 6321 but because vret 0 already has a buffer that presses on the area so you don't have to press it again.

 For example Chord F

chord F sebenarnya memiliki bentuk yang sama dengan chord E mayor, namun pada chord F kita harus menekan bagian bassnya pada senar 6 fret 1, diikuti senar 2,1 fret 1.

Chord Fm

Just as F major takes the form of an E major chord, F minor takes the form of an E minor chord, but the difference is that we also have to press the F bass on the 6th string of the 1st fret, followed by the 3,2,1 string of the 1st fret.

 3) Picking direction

so after knowing how to play chords on the guitar you can try playing a simple song, for how to picking it you can follow how the songwriter played it, for example

down-down-up  up-down-up-down-down-up  up-down-up

for songs with easy chords you can see them on youtube aryanara, I reccomend that channel for begginers.
